(24 ottobre 2017) Great success for the evening dedicated to short films organised by the Italian Consulate General in Basel for the 17th edition of the Italian Language Week in the World. On Thursday October 19th, more than 150 people came to the "Aperovisivo in libertà" by Consul Michele Camerota, who invited the organisers of the Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival, which takes place during the month of September in Minturno in Southern Lazio. The Artistic Director Gisella Calabrese and President of the Cultural Association "Il Sogno di Ulisse", Giuseppe Mallozzi are guests of the Italian Consulate and who presented to the public six short films selected for the 6th edition of the festival  "The idea - says Camerota - stems from the conviction that, in addition to the great historic masters of Italian cinema renowned in the world, there is a lively and dynamic contemporary landscape to be valued and exported that finds an effective way of expressing themselves in the short film genre. The Consulate continues to affirm the interactivity with the public - not only of other Italians, but also of the Swiss and numerous Italian expats residing in Basel - through this 'Aperivisivo in libertà' aims to combine the art of the short film with the pleasant exchange of experiences through the promotion of Italian language in cinema.
