The Polish Institute of Rome, the Polish Embassy in Rome and the Apulian Italian-Polish Association with the Aldo Moro University of Bari, organised an “Italian-Polish Culture Week” in Bari until December 10th. This cultural week, which is sponsored by the President of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Embassy, MIBACT, the Apulia Region, and the City of Bari, stems from the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the marriage between Bona Sforza and Sigismund of Poland (which are celebrated December 6th, 1517 in Naples in honour of Saint Nicola) and to reconsolidate historical, cultural, economic, touristic, and religious aspects that have tied Italy, and Apulia in particular, to Poland.
