The opening of Nasdaq on Monday, exceptionally launched by Andrea Bocelli, made it on the news around the world. The Italian tenor, invited with his Foundation to the headquarters of the world stock exchange, was the first Italian singer to make the infamous 'bell' that starts the day at the stock exchange - a gesture of great international value. While Bocelli was inside the Nasdaq headquarters, Times Square showed on its maxi-screens images related to the new awareness campaign of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, present at the appointment with the president Stefano Aversa, the General Manager Laura Biancalani, and the Vice President, Veronica Berti. The foundation, created in 2011, works for people in hardship due to diseases, poverty and social exclusion, promoting and supporting national and international projects that promote the overcoming of these barriers and the full expression of their potential. After the usual countdown, Bocelli among the applause, pushed the button that offset the stock exchange day. The tenor adds another important piece to his international professional life, which includes, among other awards, the star on the Walk of Fame in 2011, the performance for Presidents and Royal Families around the world, and being the only artist on the planet to have ever participated twice in the (2013 and 2015) "National Prayer Breakfast" - the event sponsored by both the American Senate and the House of Representative Prayer Group (the prayer group of the US Chamber of Deputies), in which the most influential politicians of the world meet annually to discuss world affairs.
