International Holocaust remembrance day at the IIC

The Italian Institute of Culture in Madrid, in collaboration with the Sefarad-Israel Centre, celebrates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp by Soviet troops on January 27th, 1945. On January 25th at 20:00, at the Italian Institute of Culture, there will be an event with the authors Helena Janeczeck, daughter of Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust, and Laura Bosio who will explore, through the theme of Memory and Writing, the threads that link the Memory of the Spanish Civil War to the European Resistance and to the fate of those who fell victim to Nazi extermination due to their 'race' or political views: starting from "La ragazza con la Leica" (Guanda 2017), Janeczek's latest novel.
