Marco Vergani: from New York to Milan

After winning public and critical acclaim in New York, Marco Vergani's show "L'eternità dolcissima di Renato Cane" (The sweetest eternity of Renate Cane) has sold out in Milan on stage from Tuesday, January 16th to Sunday, January 21st at the Elfo Puccini Theatre. Marco Vergani - the only protagonist of the monologue produced by Khora Teatro, directed by Vinicio Marchioni based on a text by Valentina Diana - plays Renato Cane, a simple man with a wife, son, and a safe job. Life flows through him monotonously and quietly until he discovers that he is condemned by seemingly incurable illness. The prospect of death makes him discover new dimensions of existence, he turns to "BBB" - a funeral home, where one of the employees is a dwarf who presents him with a singular offer: to make a deal with the devil in exchange for eternity. Renato accepts, but destiny is ready to flip the table again. Marco Vergani was born in Palazzolo Milanese in 1975. After graduating in Performing Arts and Sciences at La Sapienza University in Rome, he attended numerous acting courses such as "Drama in Scena", the Ecole des Maitres with Giancarlo Cobelli and the Santacristina Theatre Centre directed by Luca Ronconi. With his performance in "The Sweetest Eternity of Renato Cane", Vergani positively impressed Angela Turner - daughter of Ted Turner, founder and owner of CNN - who promoted the staging of the show last September at Casa Italiana Zerilli -Marimò - epicenter of Italian culture of New York University under the direction of Stefano Albertini.
