On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War (1918-2018), the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen presents a conference on the history of conflict and the social and economic evolution of one of the regions that played a key role in those events: Trentino and in particular the city of Ala. "Ala 1914 to date: A brief history of a territory" takes place on Thursday, January 25th from 19:30to 21:00 pm at the headquarters of the IIC. Located about halfway between Trento and Verona, a few kilometres from Lake Garda and the Dolomites, in the early twentieth century Ala was an international railway station, a lively cultural centre, and a place where famous people come to stay. During the First World War it was occupied by the Italian army. The conference will be held by Elena Corradini, head of the Historical Archive of the City of Ala, in English.
