Art: Mmadi the other geometry

The exhibition "MADI. The other Geometry" opened yesterday and will remain open to the public until February 11th, at the "21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art" of Kanazawa, in the Ishikawa Prefecture. The other geometry ". The exhibition was organised by NPO Tsunagu Japan & Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture of Osaka in collaboration with KK Alp of Kanazawa and KK Yamada of Kobe. Founded in 1946 in Buenos Aires by Carmelo Arden Quin, a prominent figure in the panorama of the Latin American avant-garde, MADI is based on the principles of "non expression, non representation, non symbolisation". For MADI, acronym of DIalectic MAterialism which also implies a component of non-sense and randomness, "the work exists, it does not represent; the work exists, it does not express; the work exists, it does not signify anything". The exhibition will offer visitors a few surprises and the opportunity to discover a wide-ranging artistic phenomenon, already known in Latin America and Europe and worthy of attention in Japan.
