On Tuesday, February 27th at 19:00 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris hosts "L'aria della libertà. L'Italia di Piero Calamandrei" (Italy as seen by Piero Calamandrei, a musical tale by Nino Criscenti and Tomaso Montanari, with Luca Cipriano (clarinet), Francesco Peverini (violin), Valeriano Taddeo (cello), and Marco Scolastra (piano). The musical is set in the 1930s, and every Sunday a group of anti-fascist militants and intellectuals regenerates in the beautiful Tuscan landscapes. Among them are Luigi Russo, Pietro Pancrazi, Nello Rosselli, Attilio Momigliano, at times Benedetto Croce, Adolfo Omodeo, and Piero Calamandrei. The latter, one of the founding fathers of the Constitution, continuously photographs abbeys, villas, and the villages he visits. On this occasion Tommaso Montanari will go on stage, accompanied by musicians and photographs by Piero Calamandrei, to talk about those days of escape. The evening will also be an opportunity to present the editions of the magazine "Conférences", which have published seven works by Piero Calamandrei, revealing to the French public the ambitious vision of an extraordinary writer and jurist.
