Conference on Fibonacci, the number merchant

"Italian Scientists" will be held on March 13th at 18.30 at the Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Aires. With 4 meetings during the year, it presents the public with some of the greatest scientists in Italian history. During this conference, physicist Francesca Battista and mathematician Daniel Grimaldi will discuss the life and secrets of Leonardo Fibonacci (1175-1250), one of the most important figures in the history of western mathematics. He was born in Pisa and promoted the abandonment of the Roman numerical system and the adoption of the Indo-Arab system that is in use today, thus finding the solution to mathematical problems that had been unresolved until then.
