“Divina musica”: violinist <br> Domenico Nordio concert

“Domenico Nordio has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in the world (Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Barbican Centre in London, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo) and with major orchestras (London Symphony, National de France, Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, and the National Orchestra of RAI). His last tours have taken him to St. Petersburg, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Moscow, Istanbul, Kiev, São Paulo, Mexico City, and Caracas. The violinist - exclusive Sony Classical artist- is now preparing to travel to Tokyo with the concert “Divina Musica”. The concert will take place at the Umberto Agnelli Auditorium of the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo on Saturday March 10th, at 16:00. Nordio performs a refined solo programme that ranges from two of Johann Sebastian Bach’s most famous pieces, true milestones of the solo violin repertoire, to a 1971 work by Goffredo Petrassi that testifies to the great versatility of the master of Italian modernism. The programme concludes with a composition by the Turkish pianist Fazil Say, which harmoniously combines European tradition with Middle Eastern influences.
