The diameter of the pupil reveals traits of our personality is the hypothesis of a research led by Paola Binda, a researcher at the University of Pisa conducted with Marco Turi of the Stella Maris Mediterraneo Foundation and Professor David Burr from the University of Florence. The study was published in the international journal eLife and demonstrates that fluctuations in pupil diameter during a simple visual stimulus are highly predictive of autistic personality traits. In this first stage, the research involved a group of young adults whose autistic traits were positioned in the "sub-clinical" range, in the absence of a diagnosed disorder.
