Literature: Campiello Prize at the italian <br> institute of culture of Madrid

(12 marzo 2018) On March 14th the Italian Institute of Culture in Madrid with Confindustria Veneto will host the presentation of the Campiello Prize, one of the most important Italian literary prizes, established in 1962 on the initiative of industrialists from Veneto and awarded annually to works of fiction Italian. Simona Vinci and Donatella Di Pietrantonio, respectively Super Campiello winners 2016 and 2017, with the Chairman of the Management Committee, Prof. Piero Luxardo will participate in the event. Over the years, this important recognition has helped to signal to the attention of the general public of numerous authors and novels that have marked the history of Italian literature. The success of many of the works in competition, confirmed by sales, has often called for their cinematic adaptation. Today the Award - considered one of the most prestigious in Italy and among the most important in the Italian publishing sector - represents a channel with which Venetian industrialists intend to offer their contribution to the promotion of Italian fiction, encouraging and spreading the pleasure of reading and the awareness that a prize finds its maximum raison d'être in "creating new readers".
