(8 November 2018) The inauguration of the exhibition "Il Territorio dell'Architettura. Gregotti e Associati 1953-2017" will take place on November 13th in Lisbon. It was organised by the Cultural Centre of Belém with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its foundation, the CCB presents a retrospective exhibition of the work of Vittorio Gregotti. "The purpose of this exhibition - Gregotti explains - is to try to understand if it's possible and useful to reflect on the path of the architectural project as a narration of the ways its intentionality takes shape, without becoming an expression of an ideological a priori, to understand how architecture, in its creative process, as well as in its constructed results, is also a narration of the transformation of the materials chosen for an organization capable of a new and necessary modification of the state of things, thus proposing a fragment of truth other than the reality of the present through the forms of architecture, starting from the critique of its contradictions and possibilities". The curator of the exhibition is Guido Morpurgo. Production Pavilion of Contemporary Art Milan (PAC). The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 27th.
