Two researchers by the Department of Law (Di.Gi.) of the University of Palermo, dedicated to fighting the funding of terrorism in Europe and the trafficking of migrants and human beings in general, were presented during the meeting "Future challenges in the Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice: a reflection on terrorism funding, human trafficking, and smuggling" at the European Parliament Headquarters in Brussels. The two final reports were each prepared by a working group, under the direction of Prof. Vincenzo Militello, Full Professor of Criminal Law atDi.Gi., concerning the reception of European legislative harmonisation tools into ten European Union (EU) nations.
