Gas bills for households are "sharply declining." Based on the average trend of the Italian wholesale market in January 2023 and for consumption in the same month, for the typical household there is a -34.2 percent decrease in the bill compared to December 2022. This is announced by ARERA (Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment). For the month of January, which recorded a significantly lower average wholesale price than in December, the price of the gas as raw material for customers with contracts under protection conditions is 68.37 euros per MWh.
