From April 18 to 23, Milan will host the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile, among the leading international fairs dedicated to the world of furniture and design, with 2,000 exhibitors and 30 percent foreign companies. The Salone's headquarters is the Fiera di Milano in Rho, which is perfectly connected to the rest of the city. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Thousands of visitors are expected, including operators, exhibitors and fans from all over the world. Among the visitors, the top countries by origin are Italy, China, Brazil and the USA. During the Salone, Milan opens up to the world. Hotels filled and bed & breakfasts fully booked: a pleasant chaos of people of all ages pouring in between Navigli and the zones of Tortona, Brera or Bicocca, but also the Rho fairgrounds, to attend the rich kaleidoscope of presentations and events set up in the city. "Laboratorio Futuro" is this year's theme, to which the fashion universe has also adapted. Many fashion houses and brands will open the doors of their boutiques or some of the city's most striking spaces to let the public discover their special projects, conceptual installations, collaborations with design names and much more.
