Finally, after a 33-year wait, Napoli won the Scudetto again, the third in its history. A draw on Udinese's field was enough to put an end to the championship and start the celebration of an entire city. In addition to being more than three decades since the last time - with pagan deity Diego Armando Maradona on the field - the wait was even more excruciating because it was prolonged for weeks into 2023 while waiting for the math to leave no more doubt about a success now taken by all for granted. Italians Meret and Di Lorenzo, Portugal's Rui, Kosovo's Rrhamani, South Korea's Kim Min-jae, Poland's Zielinski, Slovakia's Lobotka, Cameroon's Anguissa, Georgia's Kvaratskhelia, Nigeria's Osimhen, Mexico's Lozano: the starting eleven of the club will long be remembered by soccer lovers and surely memorized by Campania fans and repeated like a mantra as well as that of Herrera's Inter club. This time, at the helm was Luciano Spalletti, a "magician" himself. The Tuscan coach - in his first Scudetto - has been able to offer spectacular soccer throughout the season, offensive but with great defensive organization. Above all, he was able to make the most of the potential of a group of players who had just lost Insigne, Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz. It is also the first Scudetto for President De Laurentiis and Sporting Director Giuntoli, the latter the true architect of the construction of a squad that for large stretches of the season seemed to be without flaws. As might be expected, in Naples what just passed was a night of celebration, during which unfortunately, however, there was one dead and 86 injured, 45 of whom needed a ride to the hospital. The most serious incident occurred in the center of the city, where four young people were hit by several gunshots. One of them died shortly afterwards, despite the prompt intervention of medical personnel.
