According to new data from Audipress, which is in charge of collecting newspaper and magazine reading data in Italy, from September 2022 to July 2023, 31.9 million Italians read or browsed an article in print or digital media, accounting for 61.1 percent of the population aged 14 and older. Compared to the previous edition of the report, the overall figure referring to print readers in the last thirty days shows a change of +0.6 percent, with the same number of newspapers surveyed, a sign of a substantially stable trend that confirms a significant consolidation for this sector. Digital copies reach 7.1 million total readers, with a further increase of 1.3% confirming the positive and steady trend that began in the pandemic period. The most significant change is recorded for newspapers, with 2 million 462 thousand readers, +1.6% compared to the previous survey.
