The arrest of two teachers by the carabinieri on the morning of February 26 has shocked a kindergarten in the province of Gorizia. The charge is for child abuse within the facility, and the two have been ordered to serve house arrest. The investigation, which began in December 2023, was prompted by a report to the carabinieri alleging frequent tugging at a disabled youngster. The soldiers of the Arma della Compagnia di Monfalcone carried out the precautionary order issued by the Judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Gorizia following a complex investigative activity conducted by military personnel of the local station and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Gorizia. According to the investigators' reconstruction, the elements obtained allow them to establish many episodes of nearly daily mistreatment of the youngster by the accused, often in front of other minors. Abuse that would be both physical and psychological, including shouting, screaming, scolding, cussing, and cursing.
