Yesterday the Chamber approved the bill recognizing November 4 as the National Unity and Armed Forces Day. The measure, which had already been approved in July in the Senate, thus becomes law. With November 4, the end of World War I is commemorated. To celebrate the National Unity and the Armed Forces Day, the measure states, "national, regional and local institutions and educational institutions of all levels, respecting school autonomy, may promote and organize ceremonies, events, meetings, historical conferences, photographic exhibitions and testimonies on the themes of National Unity, the defense of the Homeland, as well as on the role of the Armed Forces in the order of the Republic, also with reference to the historical and territorial specificities”.
