The long and profitable ski season in the Eastern Alps, which began in late November, is drawing to a conclusion. And it's already time to take stock. Dolomiti Superski, Italy's largest ski region, a ski pass system that connects twelve locations with 1,246 kilometers of slopes for one of the world's largest ski carousels, offers interesting news, one of which is a significant increase in international skiers. The Dolomite consortium inked an agreement in 2021 with "Ikon Pass," one of North America's two major ski and ski pass systems (the other is "Epic Pass"), bringing thousands of Americans to the slopes. Ikon Pass users alone increased from 2,000 in the 2021/2022 season to 20,000 last winter, and will reach 30,000 this year. However, these statistics do not account for all other Americans, including those who are not linked with Ikon Pass, who are clearly far more numerous. "In the end, we expect a +50% of American skiers compared to last year, and a +30% of British skiers," say Dolomiti Superski's managers.
