The Federico II University of Naples is celebrating its 800th anniversary since its founding on June 5, 1224, with a busy calendar that brings together the academic community, its students and important personalities from the national scene who wanted to celebrate the important anniversary with the city. A path that began with the inauguration of the academic year, last November 13, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and that continued under the banner of major events with prominent personalities such as Bocelli, Barbero and Recalcati, but also student initiatives, sports tournaments, without forgetting the presentation of the short movie dedicated to Emperor Frederick II and events with schools that wrote and set to music songs dedicated to the oldest secular Athenaeum in the world and its founder. Initiatives in the wake of the mission that Emperor Frederick II enshrined in the founding letter of the world's oldest secular university.
