"The challenge to peace, the protection of our civil coexistence's freedoms, sees the Carabinieri operating in a dual projection on the one hand in international crises, and on the other in the garrison offered on national territory by the network of Stations. The fight against organised crime, which is critical for ensuring legality, makes a significant contribution to Italian social cohesion. All of these fields require a high level of commitment from the Army's women and men". Thus the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the commander general of the Carabinieri, gen. c.a. Teo Luzi, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 210th anniversary of the Arma's foundation, which was held in Turin on July 13, 1814 by Vittorio Emanuele I. To greet the Arma, also representatives of politics and institutions: "Your country is proud of you", said the Interior Minister, Matteo Piantedosi, underlining the "contribution of the Carabinieri even in complex international scenarios" and recalling "all military of the Army who sacrificed their lives for the common good". Greetings to the Army have also come from the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests, Francesco Lollobrigida, the Minister of Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, and the Undersecretary of State for Justice, Andrea Delmastro Delle Vedove.
