Seven hundred and thirty-five days of waiting for a cardiac doppler in Magenta, 677 days for a first eye examination in Legnano, 645 days for a colonoscopy in Chiavari: these are some of the numbers of the monitoring "Health cannot wait", carried out by Federconsumatori with the Isscon Foundation and the contribution of the Social State and Rights Area of CGIL. The analysis is based on data from 2023 and the first 4 months of 2024, and notes very long times to obtain a health service in almost all of Italy. Another element that emerges from the study concerns the flow of people who from the South go to the North to seek better services. The longest waiting record is in Lombardy, but the situation is not the same all over the country. In Gemona, Udine, a first visit takes 523 days. At the Local Health Authority 4 in Chiavari, Liguria, people wait 356 days for a scheduled dermatology visit. And if you need a Class B endocrinology visit, you have to wait 612 days in Messina. It's 611 instead for a gastroenterology one at Asti’s Local Health Authority.
