Maxi theft in Rome, at the Bulgari jewelry store on Via Condotti, in the heart of the capital. The alarm went off around midnight. The thieves entered the jewelry store through a hole in the floor that led them into a service room. The loot, consisting of high-value jewelry, is about 500,000 euros. Agents from Rome's mobile squad are investigating. Investigators are examining video cameras in the area to identify the thieves. Already in the past, the same jewelry store suffered a robbery attempt where thieves used a tow truck to smash through the window in broad daylight. In recent months a Bulgari company manager was robbed of her Rolex watch in the Parioli district.
