The National team celebrates the third day of the European Athletics Championships with an extraordinary double in the half marathon. Yeman Crippa won the 21.097-kilometer race, finishing in jubilation at Rome's Olympic Stadium with a time of 1h01:03. Behind him, second in 1h01:04, was Pietro Riva, able to overtake in the last meters German Amanal Petros, third with a time of 1h01:07. Also thanks to Pasquale Selvarolo's sixth place, Italy won the team gold medal ahead of Israel and Germany. Eyob Faniel also finished eighth; Yohanes Chiappinelli was tenth; Daniele Meucci was 27th.
