He took advantage of the hour of air in the prison yard and, when a probation officer suddenly left to accompany another inmate to the hospital, he climbed over the wall and, after passing it, descended into the inter-cinct and then climbed onto the boundary wall. He had technically escaped by then, except that he took the wrong route and, instead of finding himself outside the prison, ended up straight in the management offices, where he was locked up and returned to his cell.
