Ferrero unveiled Nutella Ice Cream in Milan, an ice cream in tubs made from the famous chocolate spread, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Nutella Ice Cream, which has been available in stores since early June, marks not only the Nutella brand's entry into the packaged ice cream market, but also Ferrero's entry into the tub segment. The market for packaged ice cream to be consumed at home in Italy is worth 1.45 billion euros, with tubs accounting for approximately 30%. Ferrero can benefit from the expertise and technologies acquired through its 2019 acquisition of Ice Cream Factory Comaker (ICFC), a company with plants in Spain and Italy and 60 years of ice cream production experience. Nutella Ice Cream is produced in Spain, near Valencia, and will gradually be available in large-scale distribution in Italy, as well as in the major countries of the European market such as France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium.
