Accenture, a consulting giant in the United States, has acquired Fibermind, a company previously controlled by Maticmind, one of the leading Italian system integrators in the ICT market, specializing in solutions and professional services related to networking, cybersecurity, datacenter and application systems, but also cloud migration, IoT, and 5G, with customers in both public and private sectors. Accenture benefits from the transaction because it broadens its scope of action in the infrastructure sector. Consider the development of the cloud, or the increasing demand for private networks to connect, say, electric car charging points. Accenture's president and CEO in Italy, Mauro Macchi, stated: "The acquisition of Fibermind will enable us to offer end-to-end network engineering services, providing our customers with higher quality, greater innovation, and more rigorous cost management". Fibermind is headquartered in Rovigo and operates throughout the country. It will bring to Accenture over 400 highly qualified professionals with skills in network design, permit management, technical consulting, project management, testing, and home connection.
