In Maranello, the e-building, the factory where cars with thermal, hybrid and Ferrari's first electric model will be born, was inaugurated in the presence of President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. "A plant that combines the centrality of the person in the workplace with respect for the environment," noted President John Elkann. The integration of production of the entire range in a single building will allow the Maranello-based manufacturer to more efficiently reorganize and reallocate all production activities among its existing facilities, increasing its ability to quickly adapt to production needs. Strategic electrical components will also be produced in the e-building. The building, designed to achieve the highest levels of energy performance, is powered by more than 3 thousand 1.3-megawatt solar panels installed on the roof. C.E.O. Benedetto Vigna explained that for e-building there is not a "capacity-oriented but capability-oriented approach", geared toward customer needs and not volumes. The goal is to shorten the time to market, "because today the development of low-volume cars and the development of new cars are two complex aspects to manage together, and this slows down production". The latter will start in January 2026.
