For the second time in history, the Italian women's volleyball team has won the Nations League. In the final in Bangkok, Thailand, the Azzurri of coach Julio Velasco defeated Japan in four sets (25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 25-20), defending the title they won in Ankara, Turkey, two years ago. The Italian team dominated the match, taking a brief break in the final stages of the third set before resuming control at the start of the fourth set. Italy can now look forward to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, for which it qualified during the group stage. Poland took third place after being defeated in the semifinals by the Azzurri, who defeated Brazil 3-2 (25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 19-25, 15-9) to finish at the bottom of the podium.
