In Milan, a 24-year-old woman was hit and dragged for more than 300 meters by a car driven by a 21-year-old man. The accident occurred around 10 p.m. in the Bovisa area, when a police car noticed the young woman's legs sticking out from under the car and immediately stopped it. The young woman was taken in critical condition to the Niguarda hospital. The timely intervention of the officers prevented the driver, who tested positive for alcohol, from being lynched by the crowd. The car hit the girl and her 30-year-old friend in Via Ricotti, near the corner with Via Mercatini, causing only bruises. The car was eventually stopped in Piazzale Bausan. The officers, with the assistance of some passers-by, lifted the car to free the girl trapped beneath the front left wheel and administered first aid. Meanwhile, the driver was strapped to the steering wheel to shield him from the furious reaction of those present.
