"For Italy, the sea is an important economic and cultural resource. The blue economy generates €137 billion in revenue. The challenging climate goals set by Europe for 2030, as well as the need to strengthen our autonomy in terms of raw material and energy supply, necessitate support for the decarbonization process, including the development of new supply chains linked to green technology. The Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy are committed to facilitative measures such as Transition 5.0 and mini-development contracts, with an investment of more than 13 billion euros across all production chains". Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, stated this in a video message sent to the "Energy from the sea: the national potential for the sustainable development of offshore renewables" conference, which took place yesterday at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome.
