Carlo Conti, the artistic director of Sanremo Giovani, has announced significant changes that will speed up and streamline the competition for the next edition. The participation age has been reduced: young people aged 16 to 26 will be able to register (down from 30 in the previous edition). In addition, the competition now includes five second evenings on Rai2. The evenings of November 12, 19, 26, and December 3 will be dedicated to challenges; six artists will perform live, but only three will advance. The semi-final will be held on December 10 and will reduce the 12 selected artists to six, with two additional artists from the Area Sanremo competition. The final challenge will air live on Rai 1 in prime time on December 18 from the Sanremo Casino. Eight potential New Proposals will compete for the opportunity to perform in February at Sanremo 2025. However, only four artists (three from Sanremo Giovani and one from Area Sanremo) will be able to perform on the prestigious stage of the Ariston Theater during Sanremo 75, which runs from February 4 to 8.
