There are 29 million Italians who are ready to leave between June and September for one or more trips, with a total per capita budget of 1,190 euros (up 10% from 2023). Confcommercio's Tourism Observatory has a traveller confidence index of 72 on a scale of 0 to 100. Two points more than in June 2023, and one more than in June 2019 (pre-Covid year). As a result, the outlook for 2024 is positive, with domestic demand likely to break records. Numbers that mark the end of a long period in which the relationship between compatriots and holidays was decidedly "lukewarm" and far from the excellent performance of foreign flows into Italy. In any case, there is always the weather factor to consider, which could disrupt your vacation plans.
