The controversy over Law No. 86 of 26 June 2024 on differentiated autonomy continues. On the one hand, the Regional Council of Campania is preparing to vote on the request for an abrogative referendum, on the other hand, the same referendum has been requested by the majority group leaders and M5S in Emilia-Romagna. In the case of Campania, an extraordinary session of the Regional Assembly has been convened for July 8, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., to discuss the issue, with the request presented by the Democratic Party, the De Luca group president, Azione, Italia Viva and other forces of the majority on the agenda. In Emilia-Romagna, the President of the Legislative Assembly was also asked to communicate the resolution to the regional councils of all the other regions, inviting them to adopt an equal act to proceed with the referendum. In addition to the initiatives of the two regions, that of Tuscany is also on the way, whose president of the Regional Council, Antonio Mazzeo, has made it known that the proposal for a resolution signed by the group leaders who want to join will arrive shortly, which will be followed by the convocation of the assembly.
