Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, is in Beijing for a two-day official visit, the first by an Italian government minister since the Silk Road agreement's conclusion. The mission's goal is to promote balance between Italy and China, laying the groundwork for a new approach to industrial synergies between the two countries. The official visit, which comes a few hours after European tariffs are provisionally applied to Chinese electric car imports, focuses on a number of dossiers relating to industrial partnerships in green technology and electric mobility, intellectual property agreements, and SMEs' cooperation. During the two-day meeting, Urso will meet with the People's Republic of China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong, as well as numerous important industrial players such as the president of CCIG (China City Industrial Group), Gu Yifeng; the president of the Chery automobile company, Yin Tongyue; Ming Yang Chairman Zhang Chuanwei; the president of Weichai, Tan Xuguang; and the top management of the JAC company. Minister Urso is very familiar with China, having visited the country several times since 2001.
