The Viking Vesta, a cruise ship, was launched at Fincantieri's Ancona shipyard and will be delivered to American Viking in mid-2025 for use in the Mediterranean and northern Europe. The unit weighs 54,300 gross tons, measures 239 meters long and 31 meters wide, and can accommodate 998 passengers. The ship, along with her sister ship "Viking Vela" which will leave the Ancona shipyard in the autumn, will join the fleet of Viking cruise ships built by Fincantieri over the last 12 years. Fincantieri and Viking recently signed a contract for the construction of two more "Viking Vesta" sister ships, demonstrating the two companies' strong partnership, which now totals 20 ships. Viking units are built in accordance with the most recent navigation and safety regulations, and they are outfitted with high-efficiency engines and systems that reduce exhaust gas pollution while meeting the most stringent environmental regulations.
