Giorgio Armani is skipping the Milan fashion shows for a season, deciding to bring the spring-summer 2025 to New York, on the occasion of the opening of the new building on Madison avenue, scheduled for October 17. The abandonment of the Milan catwalks takes place "by way of exception", as pointed out in a note from the fashion house, which specifies how, "The Giorgio Armani women's fall-winter 2025/26 collection will be included, as usual, in the calendar of the Milan Fashion week in February". "With concreteness and responsibility," the note continues, "the designer chooses to concentrate in a single event the celebration of an important opening and his return, after eleven years, to New York, presenting here the seasonal fashion show originally scheduled in Milan". Now it remains to be seen who will show on Sunday, September 22, the last day of the Milan shows.
