The Four Seasons has targeted Villa Certosa, Silvio Berlusconi's historic summer residence in Sardinia. The luxury hotel conglomerate, which is controlled by Bill Gates, would have dispatched emissaries to inspect the villa in Porto Rotondo. It appears that the Four Seasons intends to purchase the property and then convert it into an additional luxury residence for rent. Bill Gates isn't the only person interested in the former premier's property for sale. Even Brunei's Sultan Hassan Bolkiah traveled to Sardinia to see the property now owned by Silvio Berlusconi's heirs. Villa Certosa's value has long been estimated to be between $300 million and $500 million. The Four Seasons Group's interest is still in its early stages. It is known, however, that the great director of many new Four Seasons openings is Nadim Ashi, 61, an American born in Liberia, one of the most popular real estate developers, and the number one Fort partner in Puerto Rico, with representative offices in Miami. It's a sort of bridgehead: he purchases the structures, which Four Seasons then manages.
