"Cur'arti. From Shadow to Light" is the first museum-clinic in Naples, dedicated to using art as a therapeutic tool for patients suffering from Alzheimer's, autism, mental distress, and disability. The museum, which is situated in the CTO hospital in Naples is the outcome of a project that was initiated by the internist Francesca Barrella. Barrella has consistently demonstrated the efficacy of art as a form of rehabilitation therapy. It contains panel reproductions of original works by many Italian and foreign artists, including Alfredo Troise, Domenico Sepe, Maurizio Ponticello, Fabiana Fiengo, Zehra Dogan, and Isabella Ducrot. The exhibition transforms care environments into "culture that heals" spaces by seamlessly integrating art and architecture to promote well-being and psychological support. The project is part of the Italian Cur'Arti network, which works with hospitals, museums, and cultural institutions to promote art therapy for the most vulnerable and ill people. The museum is funded by the Campania Region as part of the "From Shadow to Light" project, which is supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
