Andrea Joly, a journalist for La Stampa, reported that he was attacked in front of a club in Turin by a group of far-right militants. The reporter was passing in front of the venue, the Asso di Bastoni club, while a party was in progress, when a number of people allegedly came out from inside and, after asking him who he was, intimidated him into handing over his cell phone, then threatened him and kicked him as he tried to leave. Digos has already identified two alleged perpetrators of the attack: they are two militants of Casa Pound, an extreme right-wing extra-parliamentary movement. Charges of personal injury linked to the aggravating circumstance of the crime committed "to facilitate the activity of organizations, associations, movements or groups" that have among their purposes "ethnic, national, racial or religious discrimination or hatred" loom for both. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni spoke of an "unacceptable aggression". According to the Prime Minister, it was "an act of violence that I condemn firmly and for which I hope those responsible will be identified as quickly as possible. The government's attention is utmost and I have asked Interior Minister Piantedosi to be updated on developments in the case".
