Censis has compiled the ranking of the best universities, dividing them according to their size. Among the mega state ones (i.e., with more than 40,000 enrolled students), the top three positions are occupied again this year by Padua, followed by Bologna and La Sapienza of Rome. The subject of the Censis evaluation was, as every year, the state of facilities available to students, services provided, scholarships and other interventions in favor of enrolled students. The scores also take into account the level of internationalization, communication and digital services, that is, the concrete opportunities given to students, taking into account, finally, the degree of employability achieved by each university. Among the large universities, they also do well the University of Palermo, which rises to fourth place, gaining three positions compared to last year, followed by the State University of Milan, stable in fifth place. Downgraded to sixth position is the University of Pisa. The worst are the University of Florence and the University of Naples Federico II, in penultimate and last position, respectively. On the other hand, the University of Calabria comes in at the top of the ranking of large universities (between 20 and 40 thousand students), surpassing those of Pavia and Perugia, last year first and second respectively. The University of Chieti and Pescara and the University of Catania close the ranking, in penultimate and last position.
