Despite a few "kisses" on the pit wall during the race, Lando Norris emerged victorious in the Singapore Grand Prix, winning from pole position ahead of Max Verstappen (twenty-one seconds behind) and Oscar Piastri's twin McLaren. This victory reduced Norris's overall standings gap to fifty-two points from the three-time Dutch world champion with six races left. George Russell finished fourth, ahead of Charles Leclerc, who shifted pace in the latter stages of the race and ended in the lead. Lewis Hamilton finished sixth in his 350th Grand Prix, ahead of Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez (ninth and tenth) secured the final championship points available. In the Drivers' World Championship, the battle between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris enters the season's second break (we return to the track in Austin in just under a month), with the three-time Dutch champion leading by 331 points to his English rival's 279. In contrast, Charles Leclerc's lead over Oscar Piastri has been trimmed to eight points: 245 to 237. Carlos Sainz maintains sixth place with 190 points. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell of Mercedes are chasing him, with 174 and 155 points, respectively, while Sergio Perez of the "Big Four" of the World Championship has 144 points. In the Constructors' World Championship, McLaren's partial victory over Red Bull at Marina Bay narrowed the difference between the two teams to 41 points: 516 to 475. Ferrari's hopes of threatening the "Bulls"' present second place remain largely intact (although with one less race available): 441 points for the Prancing Horse, for a comfortable 112 point lead over Mercedes.
