A two-story structure fell in Saviano, in the province of Naples, after an LPG gas explosion. The explosion appears to have taken place on the second floor of an elderly person's home. A family of five stayed under the rubble on the first floor, including the husband, wife, and three children. The firefighters saved the father, Antonio Zotto, and one of the three children, who was two years old. There was nothing to do for the other two children, ages six and four, who died in the collapse. The corpse of the oldest woman who resided on the uncover floor has been identified beneath the rubble, and firefighters are currently in the process of extracting it. The mother of the children is still being sought. The rescuers dig by hand.
