The South narrows the gap with the North and Center, while Bolzano loses its well-established top spot in the ranking to Pordenone: these are the findings of the sixth edition of the BenVivere Report of the Italian Provinces 2024 presented by the newspaper Avvenire at the National Festival of Civil Economy, in Florence. BenVivere is measured by indicators of economic circularity, environmental welfare, social welfare and innovation. Looking at the ranking, Bolzano loses the top spot on the podium for the first time in six years, dropping to 10th place, due to a decline in the dimensions of legality and safety, demography and family, environment culture and tourism, and economy and inclusion. Also falling off the podium is Prato, which drops eight places. The primacy therefore passes to Pordenone (+1 position compared to 2023), in second place Siena (+4), third Milan (+1). There are four new entries in the top 10: Trieste, fourth (+19); Rimini, seventh (+23); Udine, eighth (+11); and Parma, ninth (+2). Completing the top 10 are Florence (stable in fifth place) and Trento in sixth (+1).
