The government is planning an intervention to raise basic pensions over 621 euros and create additional incentives to encourage people who fit the criteria for early retirement to stay in the workforce. According to technical sources, the goal is to confirm the measure of the 2023 Budget Law, which has already increased the lowest pensions beyond the recovery of inflation, and to go one step beyond. Minimum pensions, which are currently set at €614.77 for 2024, should get a rise that exceeds €621, thanks to the improvement in inflation, which is currently above 1%.
