The most important piece, a white truffle weighing almost a kilo, belonging to the XXVth edition of the World Alba White Truffle Auction held at the Grinzane Cavour Castle was auctioned for 140 thousand euros and flew to Hong Kong. The auction was held in connection not only with Hong Kong, but also with Singapore, Frankfurt, Vienna and for the first time Bangkok where the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, and the President of Piedmont, Alberto Cirio, were present. Three more white truffle specimens of 2 ounces, 2 ounces and 30 grams, and just over half a kilogram went to a businessman from Cuneo, one from Varese and the owner of a restaurant in China. Overall, the collection reached 395,000 euros this year, with 500 euros going to solidarity projects in Italy and around the world.
