Lia Ferrarini, the youngest of the siblings of Reggio Emilia's illustrious family of food producers, was tragically killed in an agricultural accident on Sunday afternoon at the Botteghe di Albinea estate. According to preliminary findings, the 56-year-old woman was using a small machine for the maintenance of stable animals when she fell on a concrete slab, sustaining a fatal head injury. Rescuers hurried to the site, but there was nothing they could do. Carabinieri and Occupational Medicine technicians are currently investigating to determine the causes of the accident and the circumstances surrounding it.
