"Italy is a good place to invest and I think in many ways it is even more attractive now than in the past". This was explained by Brad Smith, Microsoft's vice chairman and president, during a press conference to present the project "St. Peter's Basilica: AI-Enhanced Experience", which was developed by the American company in collaboration with La Fabbrica di San Pietro and chaired by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, the Pope's vicar general for Vatican City. Thus, artificial intelligence enters St. Peter's Basilica. How is the project structured? "In collaboration with the Vatican", explains Brad Smith, "we have been working for the past two and a half years on a difficult project that uses AI to produce a complete digital twin of the basilica. Not only will it allow you to 'visit' this building like no other generation has seen it before, but pilgrims and visitors will also be able to access two exhibitions, the result of a unique combination of historical concepts and digital explorations, which will show key aspects of the basilica's evolution over the centuries. It is an extremely important project for us". In this regard, Microsoft is interested in investing 4.5 billion in Italy for the Italy North Cloud Region.
